Why Fundamental Pilates
Fundamentally your personal progression is what inspires me .
There’s something for everyone ; whether you spend hours behind your desk, enjoy the concept of being a weekend warrior, or requiring rehabilitation.
Pilates is for every BODY.
Regardless of gender, age, race, size, ability, or current fitness level.
Studies have shown that Pilates improves quality of life by having a positive effect on depression and pain, most notably decreasing back pain.
Even though we emphasize core work, the end result of that core strength is functional and sustainable movement patterns throughout the body. We spend time focusing on the whole body, including the deeper stabilizing muscles that many of us have forgotten we have.
Together we will work on aligning your body’s overall muscular structure and joint support. What appears to look simple can be deceptively challenging and incredibly effective when done correctly. The optimal strength, flexibility, tone and balance gained from consistent Pilates practice will give you the freedom to move confidently again.
I have a private studio based in Century City with a Cadillac Reformer - for a more personalized approach to your Pilates program. If you are looking to meet like minded people and are hoping to get rid of elevated stress levels while moving, I host group classes during the week at the Janssens hall in Milnerton.
All skill levels are welcome. You do the best you can do with my guidance and we have FUN while doing it.
